Finding the right therapist is essential and life-changing.
I have included some commonly asked questions to ensure we are a good fit. You will find sample EMDR intensive formats and pricing at the bottom of the page. Feel free to contact me with anything I can clarify.
Where are your sessions?
I am licensed to provide services to people who reside in SC, GA and VA. I utilize Telehealth for Intensive EMDR therapy and adjunct therapy sessions. I offer the option of in person sessions to clients who are participating in an EMDR intensive. In person intensives are held in Bluffton, SC, nestled under live oak trees in the heart of the low country. If you are flying in to work with me, you can find information about lodging and the area here.
What is the difference between working intensively with EMDR and an EMDR intensive?
Working intensively with EMDR is simply a longer session. Effective EMDR processing takes longer than the traditional hour model. An EMDR intensive has a start and end date. The sessions are even longer in duration, which accelerates the pace of healing. My recommendation is to do an EMDR intensive in-person for 3+ hours a session. The intensive also comes with a customized workbook to enhance and focus your treatment. The workbook is an invaluable tool for your therapeutic goals.
Should I book an EMDR intensive or sessions working intensively with EMDR?
You get to make a choice for what works best for you. Please remember that I have very limited slots (I am currently on a waitlist status) for regular sessions working intensively.
Do you guarantee I will resolve my issues quickly or with one EMDR intensive?
I wish I could tell you exactly how long your healing and goal attainment will take. We never know where the brain will go during processing. The less complicated the issue, the quicker the processing and current feelings of relief. The more complicated the issue we are working on, the longer treatment may take. While I cannot guarantee the specific time needed for an individual, I do guarantee your treatment will be focused, efficient and clear. I am committed to being fully present during sessions, up to date on research and training, and customizing treatment that works for you.
Do you take insurance?
I am in network with only two companies - plans that are funded through Savannah, GA hospitals, Chandler / St Joseph's and Memorial. I am an out of network provider with all other companies. I am able to provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. I can also provide information to ask your insurance company about out of network benefits, upon request.
What are your fees?
